IndiaMART clothing catalogue photos have a short official rulebook: medium-size, about 500 × 500 px, up to 4 MB, on a white background, with the product covering at least 60-70% of the image and no text, logo, price or offer on it. IndiaMART's help pages state no format and no image count.

Adding photos to an IndiaMART clothing listing
- Log in
Sign in to the seller account with your registered mobile number and the OTP sent to it.
- Open Add Product
In the left-hand menu open Products or Manage Products, then Add Product.
- Click Add Photo
Upload multiple high-resolution images from your device, then complete the product name, price, unit and description. A product video is optional.
- Check against the guidelines and save
Confirm the images meet the guidelines, then save. Images that do not may be removed or need to be changed.
IndiaMART's product-addition page covers the text around the photos. It says to add a unique description for each product, to keep company details such as email, phone or address out of descriptions, not to copy information from other sources, and not to use trademarks or logos without permission. That page lists no image numbers.
IndiaMART clothing catalogue photos for wholesalers: our advice
Everything in this section is our suggestion for staying inside the rules above, not an IndiaMART requirement. A B2B buyer is judging fabric, cut and finish, quickly, from a thumbnail:
| Image | Shows | Rule it keeps |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Full garment, front, centred on white | White background; product 60-70% or more of the frame |
| 2 | Back, as its own image | Each angle is a separate image |
| 3 | Fabric and finish close-up | A real photo, unique, no overlay |
| 4 | Side or three-quarter, or the garment worn | Different angle, so a unique image |
| 5 | One image per colour | One product per image, so other products are not mixed in |
- Put the price, minimum order quantity and fabric in the listing fields, not on the picture. IndiaMART bans prices and offers on images.
- Keep your brand mark off the image: logos and watermarks are on the banned list. Put your company name in the listing's own fields.
- Give each colour its own image rather than a collage. A frame that mixes products risks the “mix of different products” rule.
- Use the same background, light and crop across a range so the catalogue reads as one range, as the add-images page asks for a consistent style.
- Do not reuse one picture for several products: each image should be unique.
Making the photos with Vastralook
Catalogue Studio takes every garment except sarees (those go through Drape Studio, with sarees and lehengas) and makes the model shots from your flat-lay photos, up to four photos per garment. A batch is garments × models × styles. It offers 3:4, 4:5, 1:1, 9:16 and 16:9; for IndiaMART's square reading choose 1:1, and pick a plain white or near-white studio style, using View to check the preview before you pick it. There is no IndiaMART preset: marketplace presets exist in Drape Studio for Myntra, Amazon, Flipkart and Meesho only. A 2K shot at 3:4 is about 1792 × 2400 px, far above the 500 × 500 reference; we set no file-size target, so check each download is under 4 MB.
Ten designs on one model in three styles is 10 × 1 × 3 = 30 shots. At about ₹10–₹13 per 2K shot on a Create order, 30 shots come to about ₹300–₹375 across our credit packs, each ready in about 3–4 minutes. Direct generation is about ₹20–₹25 for 1K or ₹40–₹50 for 2K. For a square listing image a 1K shot is already well above 500 px.
