Most comparison pages are written by the winner. This one is not going to work that way, because on the single number most sellers check first — cost per image — Scalio is cheaper than us, and pretending otherwise would waste your time and ours.
So the useful question is not which is cheaper. It is what the cheaper number buys, and what it does not.
1. The two products side by side

| Ready-made looks | 1,200+ packages, 4,516 shots | Templates and prompt packs |
| Max resolution | 4K | 1500 × 2000, stated |
| Video | No | Reel Maker and AI Actor |
| Buy without a subscription | Yes — packs from ₹250 | Add-on credits from ₹7 |
| Credit expiry | Packs never expire | Not published |
| Marketplace guarantee | No | Regenerates free if a listing is rejected |
2. Cost per image, with the arithmetic shown
Both products publish in rupees, so nothing here depends on an exchange rate. Scalio's plans state how many images a credit allowance produces, which makes the division straightforward.
| Scalio plan | Price | Per standard image | Per HD image |
|---|---|---|---|
| Growth | ₹999 / mo · 100 credits | ₹10.0 | ₹20.0 |
| Pro | ₹1,999 / mo · 250 credits | ₹8.0 | ₹16.0 |
| Vastralook plan | Price | Per 1K image | Per 4K image |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | ₹1,099 / mo · 1,000 credits | ₹22.0 | ₹44.0 |
| Growth | ₹1,999 / mo · 2,000 credits | ₹20.0 | ₹40.0 |
| Custom | Volume pricing | — | — |
3. Where the money goes instead
Our per-image price is higher because the spend sits somewhere else: 1,200+ photoshoot packages, 4,516 finished shots, each one a real set with a real lighting plan that you pick rather than describe. That is the difference between generating an image and choosing a shoot.
If you already know exactly what you want and you want it cheap, a package library is overhead you are paying for. If you are staring at a flatlay with no idea what background sells a lehenga on Myntra, it is the entire product.
4. The commitment question
Scalio's entry is ₹999 a month. Ours is ₹1,099 — but a subscription is optional. A ₹250 Mini Pack is ten 1K images, bought once, with credits that never expire. For a seller who shoots in bursts around a drop rather than steadily every month, that is a different shape of cost, and often a smaller one.
- You need 4K — for print, for marketplace zoom, or for reuse beyond a listing tile.
- You want the look chosen for you from a curated library, not described in a prompt.
- Your volume is lumpy, and a monthly subscription would sit idle between drops.
- You want the option of handing a batch to a team instead of doing it yourself.
- Per-image cost is the number that decides it, and 1500 × 2000 is enough for your listings.
- You want stills and video and social posts from one subscription.
- A marketplace-approval guarantee is worth more to you than resolution headroom.
- You publish steadily every month, so a subscription is never idle.
5. What Scalio does that is worth acknowledging
- A lower price per image at both tiers — genuinely, not marginally.
- Video generation alongside stills, which we do not offer at all.
- A stated marketplace-approval guarantee with free regeneration if a listing is rejected.
- A free trial that lets you set up a brand profile and preview before paying.
None of that is faint praise. If those four lines describe what you need, Scalio is the better buy and you should take it.
Brand kit — your logo on every shot
Upload your logo once and set exactly where it sits — corner, size, opacity and padding — against a live preview. Every shot can then be downloaded with your branding already applied, at full resolution, so the file you hand to a marketplace or a reseller is already yours.
It is applied at download, not baked into the render, so the same shot can go out branded to one channel and clean to another without regenerating anything — and changing the logo later does not cost you a single credit.
Frequently asked
Is Scalio cheaper than Vastralook?
Per image, yes. Scalio works out at ₹8–₹20 an image against ₹20–₹22 for a 1K image on Vastralook. The gap narrows once you compare at the same resolution, because Scalio's published maximum is 1500 × 2000 while Vastralook outputs 4K.
What is Vastralook's best alternative to Scalio's video features?
There isn't one. Vastralook generates catalogue stills only. If you need Reels or AI presenter video from the same subscription, Scalio covers that and we do not.
Can I use Vastralook without a monthly subscription?
Yes. Credit packs start at ₹250 for ten 1K images, they are a one-off purchase, and the credits never expire. A plan is cheaper per credit at volume but it is not required.
Which handles Indian ethnic wear better?
Both target Indian sellers and both handle sarees, lehengas and kurta sets. The difference is method: Vastralook ships 1,200+ pre-built packages you select from, while Scalio leans on templates and prompts. Test both on a heavily embroidered piece — that is where drape and print fidelity actually separate.
Do either of them watermark the output?
Vastralook does not watermark at any tier. Scalio does not state a watermark policy on its pricing page, so check before you commit.
