What this means for a boutique
Google's page says the photo should represent reality. For a clothing shop, that points to pictures of your real shop, real stock and real staff. Vastralook makes on-model pictures of garments, which suit your online catalogue and social posts. Whether you add AI-made pictures to a Business Profile is your decision; the page does not mention AI, so we say nothing about how Google treats them.
Seller advice: what to photograph (not from Google)
The following is our suggestion, not Google's rule.
- Your logo as a clean square image.
- A cover photo of the shopfront or the best view inside.
- The inside of the shop, the racks and the trial area.
- Your best sellers, one clear picture each, in daylight.
- Your team, if they are happy to be shown.
