To put clothes on an AI model, photograph the garment flat or hung, upload it to Vastralook's Catalogue Studio (or Drape Studio for sarees), pick a model and a style, check the batch summary, then place an order. Each shot is one garment on one model in one style, ready to download.
Before you start: the garment photo
The picture you upload decides the result. Lay the garment flat or hang it, fill the frame, and shoot square-on in even light. Anything else in the photo (floor, hanger, table) can end up in the result. Upload a photo of the real garment, never an earlier AI image.
- File types: JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB.
- You can add up to 4 photos of one garment: front, back, side and a detail.
- A tight crop works better than a wide shot of the room.
How to put clothes on an AI model in Catalogue Studio
- 1. Add your garment
In the Your garments panel, press Add a garment and choose the front photo. Add more sides if you have them, or another garment to shoot in the same batch.
- 2. Choose who wears it
Open the Models tab and pick one model or several. Filter by region, age, skin tone and body type. Each model you pick multiplies the shots you get.
- 3. Choose the look
Open Styles and pick the poses, framing and settings you want. Each style is another shot of the same garment. Packages are ready-made groups of styles if you want a full set in one tap.
- 4. Check the batch
The Summary tab lists every combination: one garment on one model in one style. Remove any you do not need. Nothing is charged yet.
- 5. Set the shape and size
Choose the picture ratio and the quality (1K, 2K or 4K). Larger sizes cost more credits, and the price shows on the order buttons.
- 6. Place the order
Pick Instant (1–2 min), Standard (3–4 min) or Budget (5–10 min). The info panel on each button shows the price and total before you press it.
- 7. Follow it in Orders and download
The Orders tab shows each shot as it is made. Finished shots appear as pictures, with Download all above the order.
Putting a saree on an AI model in Drape Studio
A saree is unstitched cloth, so it needs more than a garment photo. Drape Studio works from one photo of the full saree, body and pallu together.
- Upload the saree photo. The studio finds the cloth.
- Adjust the cut with a pin on each corner, or trace round the cloth with the lasso if it is not a neat rectangle.
- Mark the pallu line so the pallu design lands on the shoulder, not the pleats. Optionally mark one repeat of the body pattern.
- Add blouse fabric if you have it, or skip it and the blouse is made from your saree.
- Press Use this cut to see the saree draped on the model, then pick your poses and order.
Which studio to open
| Garment | Open | What you upload |
|---|---|---|
| Kurti, kurta, dress, shirt, co-ord, suit | Catalogue Studio | A flat or hung photo of the garment (up to 4 sides) |
| Saree | Drape Studio | One photo of the full saree with pallu, and optional blouse fabric |
| Lehenga | Drape Studio | Separate photos of the skirt, blouse and dupatta fabrics |
What to check before you publish
- Colour matches the real garment in daylight.
- Neckline, sleeve length, hem and print scale match the piece.
- Hands, hair and jewellery look natural.
- The picture shape and size suit where you are listing it.
Cost: a generated image is ₹20–₹25 at 1K or ₹40–₹50 at 2K depending on the credit pack, and a Standard order is about ₹10–₹13 per shot at 2K. Credit packs start at ₹250. New accounts get 40 free credits, enough for up to 4 free 2K images.
